Some of my music

Neurasthenia
soundcloud
First track with my Alesis SR16...

Synesthesia (part 1)
soundcloud
Exploring odd signatures (9/8+8/8). All tracks were played on my Roland FP8. Recorded on Tascam DP24.

Song For Tiffany
soundcloud
A song dedicated to Tiffany Morrison. Played on Roland FP8 (piano) and Alesis Fusion (flute and strings). Recorded on Tascam DP24.

Terminator (frabas remix)
soundcloud
A short remix of Brad Feidel's music for Terminator. DSI Evolver (sequence, lead, nasal sound and bass), Korg Trident MkII (sweeping pads). Drum track and all effects from the Zoom MRS-8.

AtmosFer
soundcloud
Only few instruments were used for this track: DSI Evolver (sequence), Kawai K5m (bass, arpeggios, pad), Akai S5000 (samples), EHX Vocoder. Drum track and all effects from the Zoom MRS-8. The voice samples are from French actors Louis Jouvet (from "Entrée des artistes", 1938) and Arletty (from "Hotel du nord", 1938).

Flamingos
soundcloud
Yamaha Pacifica (arpeggios, solo, bass), DSI Evolver (lead), Arturia Minibrute (Deep bass), Korg Poly61M (ending arpeggios). Recorded on my Zoom MRS-8.

Das Moped
mp3 ogg
Based on a four-chords cycle à-la-Moby. I first called it "Mobylette", a French brand of motorcycles, and later "Das Moped" (German for "motorcycle"). Akai S5000 (drums), Alesis Fusion (sampled boys choir), Kurzweil 1000PX (vibes, piano), Yamaha DX7 (mellow lead during the break) and TX816 (punchy cellos), Roland MKS-80 (aggresive lead). Recorded in one take on my Zoom MRS-8.

Speak and Spells
soundcloud
Playing with samples from the "Speak & Spell" toy, an hypnotic arpeggio and a drum loop. Made with my Alesis Fusion. Recorded in one take on my Zoom MRS-8, then the guitar solo added later.

Countdown
soundcloud
Akai S5000 (drums, speaking voice from the Star Treck TV-show), Kawai K1m (pads), Kurzweil 1000PX (vibes, choir), Yamaha DX7 (ostinato). My old faithfull Atari STe was the sequencer, and it was recorder on a Fostex DMT8-vl.

Synthetic Mind
mp3 ogg
Very short piece starting on the "Terminator" patch from the Kawai K1m (I love this patch!). Mostly done on the Alesis Fusion, with vibes from the Kurzweil 1000PX. Recorder on Atari & Fostex DMT8-vl.

2 mars 2012
soundcloud
Quick music-in-my-mind recording. I tried to use only my Alesis Fusion for sequencer. It was really like building a ship in a bottle.
Pretty ashamefull, it lacks some basic features (punch-in/out), is unable to metronome on odd signatures and editing notes is quasi-unusable.
However, I manage to stack a couple of tracks; "acoulestic" piano, Grand piano, Arco-strings, Vibes and Ebony Flute (which sounds really great).
Recorded on a Zoom MRS-8, imported in Cubase SX, and save the finale mix as MP3!

La marche des triceratops
soundcloud
A small piece initially based on a drum loop which inspired the title.
Kurzweil 1000PX (Piano, Vibe), Alesis Fusion (Fairlight famous "Arr 1" sound), Roland MKS80 (sweep sound), Novation Xio Synth (Bass), Akai S5000 (Drum loop), Yamaha TX816 (Brass and timpani).

Project 24
mp3 ogg
Some arpeggios with a Korg Poly 61, a Zoom 505 pedal (echo & chorus) and EHX Small Stone Nano (phaser).

Project 25
mp3 ogg
Done only with a Zoom MRS-8 and a Yamaha Pacifica.

Mellotron
mp3 ogg
A piece inspired by the sorrowfull sound of the Mellotron.
Alesis Fusion (piano, mellotron), Akai S5000 (Fairlight sound), Kurzweil 1000PX (vibes), Yamaha Pacifica (Bass, guitar).

Archibald
mp3 ogg
Done on one take, with no rehearsal. Inspired by "L'Odyssée d'Archibald" from the French band Space Art. Rythms powered by Korg! A SQ10 triggers two MS20, a MS50 and a Poly 61. The lead sound is done on a Roland SH2000 and the chords on an ARP Omni, both with multiple effects. A Roland SC55 does the vibes and choir.
